Parker's VBS!

Last week we took Parker to a VBS here in town at Sandy Hook United Methodist Church. (Our church doesn't put one on since we only have 8 kids that could attend!) This is the church where Parker's pediatrician attends. Parker and his cousin, Kevin went last year and Parker loved it even though he didn't know any of the kids! He was all excited about attending again this year! They searched for clues, played games, did crafts, sang songs and played ball! He loved every minute of it! Their program was Sunday morning during their contemporary service so we decided not to attend. Jonathan took a few pictures of him during their "practice" on Friday evening. The one of the group up front is all the children that wanted to accept Jesus into their hearts! (Parker and his cousin, Kevin went up front! :)

Last week was a busy week and this one promises to be even busier! We have a ladies meeting at church tonight, a ballgame, 4th of July, a couple of birthdays this week, a Sunday School picnic on Saturday and our wedding anniversary is Friday! Lots of opportunities for my camera to be in action!! (Be watching for some of those wonderful, outdated, wedding pictures! Afterall, it will be #11 years!)

Oh, the joys of VBS! I remember going to them all summer with my mom! I would always find a baby or small kid to lug around. Never dreamed that someday I would lug around my own then I'd turn my back and they would be too big to carry! Parker seems to be outgoing so going to VBS probably wouldn't bother him!

There are so many neat VBS themes this year. We have one more here in town. The first one was at the beginning of June. It was Game Day Central. Maybe the other one will have this one. My girls would love it.
