A busy Saturday...

It started at 5:45am when the phone rang, calling me into work! Ugh! I only had to be there 4 hrs then we were off shopping for the afternoon! Parker begged to have us drop him off at Grandpa Don's house on the way so we did! (We didn't have the heart to leave them the twins too!) Next, we spent a good part of the afternoon at the Men's Wearhouse while Daddy tried on tons of suits! Let me just say, that store is not kid friendly! Peyton kept running into himself in the three way mirrors and had a red forehead, I found straight pins all over the floor and the babies had a blast with the metal measuring tapes! I ended up dragging the kids to the car and had to "text" Daddy to please "Hurry Up!" We ate supper at a new Mexican Grill there called "On the border." Well... we could have made it to the "border" ourselves in the amount of time it took us to get seated, get our food and then our check! They do have good fajitas though. We ended up at the mall and the twins were quite over the entire day! They kept screaming every time I went out of site! Jonathan had to go and sit outside with them so he was just as ready to leave as they were! Paige crashed in the car on the way home but as you can see, Peyton is still going strong! I must go put him to bed and iron clothes for Sunday! As Parker would say, tomorrow we are going to "Father's House!" Goodnight!!

This too shall pass...

I had a children's CD playing throughout the house today and walked around the corner to find this...

For some reason, the kids love to climb on my coffee table and act like it is a "stage." They pretend to sing into the microphone and dance. They have about worn the finish completely off my table. They have broken both of my lamps in my family room, and my couch has also seen it's better days. I will never again get anything with white on it as long as I have kids around. We have been married 10 years now and it is time for new furniture. I am ready to go shopping tomorrow but then I think, why bother?? They would probably do the same to my new stuff. I just keep telling myself, they will grow up so fast and will be gone and I will miss these days!!!

Hats!

Our boys love to wear hats. Parker has a favorite baseball cap that he wears all the time. He loves for him and his Daddy to "match" when they wear their hats. It looks like Peyton is going to follow in Parker's footsteps as he seems to love to wear hats also. Here are a few pictures of them tonight having fun with their hats!

Peyton's first haircut!

This took place earlier this month before I became a Blogger! Thought I would share a couple of pictures of Peyton getting his curls cut off! I was at work and Jonathan had to take all three kids. He and the two boys were all getting haircuts that day. Parker kept saying "Paige is next..." I bet J. J. wondered why she didn't get to trim Paige's hair!

Not much going on around here but work, work, work. I have
worked the past two days and have one more 12hr day to go
tomorrow before I am off again! Lots of babies being born.

Have a good night!

I knew they were being too quiet!

I was on the phone one day last week talking to my mom and the twins had wondered off to the kitchen and were being good! I should have known better, but I didn't! We had just gone the day before to pick up their 1 year studio pictures. They were still in the package and laying on the kitchen counter. What I didn't know was that Parker's stool was close by and Mr. Peyton had climbed up and gotten ahold of the pictures! While I am still on the phone, here comes Peyton carrying a wrinkled up 5X7 in each hand! I hurriedly got off the phone and went to investigate the situation! There they were in the middle of the kitchen floor, having the time of their lives wrinkling and even ripping up their new pictures! I quickly realized that they had no idea what they were doing and tried to calm myself down! It ended up not being as bad as I first thought. I was able to reorder the ones that were completely devoured and salvage most of them. Some of them only have a small wrinkle while others have several, but what memories I will have of these pictures! Some say I should put the really wrinkled ones in their baby books for them to see someday! The next time they are being really "good" I better go check it out! Who knows what I might find?

Splish, Splash...

We all 5 had just come inside after playing in the yard and taking a walk and it was bath time. Parker was being a big boy and running his own bath water. We told him to shut the bathroom door so the babies wouldn't come in with him. (They like to throw everything in the tub! You wouldn't believe what all we have found behind that shower curtain!) Well, Parker did not mind us and left the door open. The next thing we knew, Parker came running into the family room with a paranoid look on his face and said, "Paige just fell in the tub with all her clothes on!" She didn't make a peep so we went running in and found her smiling and having fun! You can tell by her forehead and cheeks that she went "crashing" into the tub! We stripped her clothes off and she got to take a bath afterall!! (I guess that is one way to get mommy to let you take a bath!!!)

Happy Birthday Brycen!

Friday, March 23rd, was our nephew, Brycen Robert Thompson's 1st birthday! We went to his party and I have never in my life seen a baby devour a birthday cake like he did! It was completely destroyed and he loved every bite! He put our kids to shame! Happy Birthday Brycen, we love you!!!

Our Nanny's wedding!

A week ago Friday night, March 16th, 2007, our babysitter, Heather Gardner got married to Kenny Adamson. We took our three kids to the wedding which turned out to be a total nightmare in itself. We asked the ushers if we could sit in the back row by the door so we could make an easy exit and it was a good thing we did! The wedding started at 7pm and it was quite lengthy but very pretty. Jonathan declared it was at least 112 degrees in the church and he had to take Peyton out 5 different times! (He told Peyton the next wedding he would attend would be his own!!!) After at least 8 songs and 7 prayers (Jonathan said we wouldn't need to pray for a week!) they pronounced them as husband and wife and we darted outside for some cool air! 2 hours later the bride and groom made it to the reception and the kids finally got to see Heather. We snapped a few pictures but it was nearly 11pm by now and our kids were "over it" and so were Mommy and Daddy! Heather and Kenny will be living in Louisiana and we will miss her dearly! We wish them the best of luck and would welcome them to Indiana anytime!!!

Welcome to our Blog...

I am completely new at this blogging thing but I really enjoy reading everyone else's so I thought I would try it for myself. We don't have many funny tales to tell around here and I don't know much about computers so we will see how it goes... Let me know if you have any helpful hints for me. I probably won't be posting daily as I work full-time outside of the home and am busy catching up on my days off. I always seem to find time to get on the computer though! Have a wonderful Saturday, it is beautiful outside!!!
