We met Dana through Cummins in 2004. She came over from Czech Republic to live here in the US and work for about a year. We became good friends with her and really enjoyed doing things with her. (She has the neatest accent!) Dana comes back to the US occasionally for a business trip and we always try to go out to eat with her! She hadn't been back to the US for almost a year so it was a treat to get to see her again. Parker absolutely loved her and acted as if he had known her all of his life. (He never meets a stranger!) The twins of course didn't remember her but warmed up to her quickly. We took her to the Olive Garden in Greenwood on Wednesday evening. The restaurant took forever and the kids did pretty good. Dana says where she comes from it is normal to take at least 3 hours to eat a meal. We were there 2 hours and were completely exhausted from the kids. She said that in Europe you do not ever see any kids in the restaurants. She commented on how "kid friendly" the American restaurants are here!! By the time we were on our way home, the twins turned into ware wolfs!! It was past their bedtime and they showed Dana what they were really all about! She thought it was funny but at least we sent her home with a good story to tell her husband!
We had a fun evening and hope Dana can come back and see us again sometime! Thanks Dana for taking the time out of your busy schedule to visit with our family!
