We were so young...

Since tomorrow is our #11th anniversary, I thought I would post our engagement picture a day ahead! (So you can prepare yourself for how young and skinny we were way back then!) My how times have changed... I won't be posting a current picture! HA! I have several of our wedding pictures scanned for tomorrow and you may recognize a person or two in some of them! Check out the wedding party for fellow bloggers, and who are those Bible bearers? I have been trying to think of some things to post that you may not know about Jonathan, (like Angie did about Gene) but can't come up with anything too exciting! Oh, well... at least I will have those wonderful wedding photos for you to laugh about!!!

A recap of our holiday...

We had a good 4th of July! Jonathan's parents came to babysit the twins and we went to Cincinnati for the Reds game! Parker told us in the elevator of the parking garage that he "didn't feel so good..." (He gets terribly car sick and we had to wind up to the 7th floor of the parking garage!) He was running around in the lobby of this very nice building with all marble trying to find a place to "get sick!" The revolving door was locked and he finally found a door that worked! Outside at last! Jonathan kept telling him he would be okay now that he was getting fresh air... All of a sudden, he threw up all over the side walk and was hanging over the curb. (Not a pretty sight!) There were homeless people standing there staring at us! Poor kid... He was fine once he threw up and ready for the game! (Even ate a slice of pizza later...)
The game was nice and there was a lot of scoring. Jonathan was completely discusted as Barry Bonds didn't even play!!!! During the 8th inning, a downpoor came out of no where and everyone got drowned! The crew was trying to put the tarp down, and the winds were so strong it picked up one guy who was hanging on the corner and drug him across the field. It was hilarious, but I did not have my camera out in the rain! They had a rain delay for almost an hour but we didn't end up staying! I hadn't gotten any sleep from working 3rd shift and was ready to get home! (The Reds ended up losing anyway!)
Jonathan's parents had fun with the twins and stayed for a while after we retuned home. We got a few shots in the back yard before calling it a day! No big fireworks at the Walden household on the 4th!

Happy Birthday Jonathan Edwards!

Just wanted to wish our brother-in-law, Jonathan Edwards a very Happy 4th of July birthday! Hope you have a great day and get to relax! We are thinking of you and have your card sitting here on our counter!! (Nice place for it, huh?! :) I had it early and should have mailed it with LuRhe's! We are looking forward to being with you all in just a couple of weeks!

Have a wonderful day!!
Love,
Jonathan, Karen,

Parker, Peyton and Paige!!!

Happy 4th of July everyone!

Well, I survived night shift and have seen every minute of July 4th, 2007 so far!! I hope to catch a quick nap before we head to Cincinnati to the Reds afternoon baseball game! (Jonathan was hoping Barry Bond's would break his record while we are there but I doubt he can hit all 5 today!)
We were able to see the fireworks from our back yard last night which was very convenient! Paige was terrified of them and the booming put Peyton to sleep. Parker burned his hand on a sparkler and probably won't ever want to do sparklers again! Oh well, we made some memories anyway! I got stuck in traffic after the fireworks and was almost late to work!
Everyone here is still sleeping and I should go hide somewhere myself and dose for a short time! My in-laws are coming at 10am to babysit the twins! (We get to spend the day with just Parker! He is so excited about the ballgame!) I will be sure to take the camera along!
Have a great 4th and don't be shooting off too many illegal fireworks in your neighborhood!!

Update on Mary McGuire!

Mary went to see her doctor this afternoon and got a good report! They told her that her cancer is in Stage 1. (The best out of the three stages!) She will have a MRI and then surgery on July 18th! She will have radiation twice a day for five days and no chemotherapy! They told her that her cancer is 97% curable!!! What a huge answer to prayer! Thank you everyone for your prayers and comments! Mary Jane said she really appreciates it!!! (She looked so much better tonight at church!!!) Hopefully she will sleep better tonight now that she got a good report! Keep her in your prayers and I will keep you posted!!!
