Celebrating #13!

Jonathan surprised me on Monday, and sent me 13 roses for our #13th wedding anniversary!We celebrated by eating at our favorite restaurant! They have the best steaks ever!

We got a great room on priceline.com and stayed here. Due to Jonathan's new job, nearly 3 hours away, we met in Indy that evening. It was going to be $30.00 each to valet park both vehicles at the hotel. Jonathan took a chance and parked in the parking garage across the street for $5.00 each. I was awake off and on all night worrying that I'd oversleep for work and that when I got the garage, my SUV would be towed! It wasn't, and Jonathan saved us $50.00 by being a tight wad! :)

Still in love after 13 years of marriage and 5 years years of dating! We've been together over half of our lives! My lands, we're getting old!!!

I'd do it all over again...

13 years ago today, I was a nervous bride and so ready to get married to the love of my life. Jonathan and I had dated for 5 years and I had finally talked him into marrying me! ;) We had our wedding all planned out and I knew how I wanted every detail. It was a beautiful, sunny day and the wedding was perfect! I was the happiest girl alive!

We've celebrated our anniversary in many different cities over the years, usually on vacation. This year will be another different way to celebrate! With Jonathan's new job, he is nearly 3 hours away from home! :( I am meeting him in Indy tonight for a delicious steak dinner at Ruth's Chris and a quiet evening without the kids. (Thanks Mom and Dad Walden for babysitting for us!)


I'll spare you the mushy stuff and just stay that Jonathan is a great husband and daddy and I'm the luckiest girl in the world to be able to say he's all mine!!!!
